Brass Bands Wales would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the bands who took part in this weekend’s Welsh Regional Brass Band Championships at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. The dedication, commitment, and sheer passion that goes into preparing for this event is truly inspiring – weeks of rehearsals to bring the music to life on stage. Congratulations to all the prize winners, but just as importantly, congratulations to every band and player who stepped onto that stage, showcasing the incredible spirit within Welsh banding.

A huge thank you to the Welsh Regional Brass Band Association team for hosting another fantastic championship. The tireless efforts of the organisers behind the scenes, particularly Julian Jones (Chairman) and Philip Morris (Regional Secretary), make this event possible, ensuring a well-run experience for all involved.

Looking ahead, Brass Bands Wales is focused on the ‘Back to Banding’ event at St John’s Church, Llandudno, on Saturday 29th March, led by the brilliant Bari Gwilliam and Aled Williams. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage retired players back into band rooms across North Wales, with the hope that we’ll see even more players on stage at the Welsh Regionals in 2026!
