There are 2 levels of membership available.

Band Membership

Band Membership is open to any Band/Group/Ensemble based in Wales and members will enjoy ALL benefits offered by Brass Bands Wales.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to individuals or partners who would like to support our work and will be entitled to the same benefits as Band members, except with no voting rights within the organisation.

Regardless of whether you are a Contesting Band, a Youth Band or a non-competing Community Band, here are some good reasons why you should join Brass Bands Wales – TODAY!

Brass Bands Wales will be one representative “voice” for all brass bands in the Principality. An organisation that will speak on your behalf and engage with as many relevant organisations and individuals, to represent the movement at all levels, in order to consolidate and grow.

A fully interactive website (updated regularly) that is a one-stop point of reference for all Welsh-based brass bands, players, administrators and enthusiasts to provide you with:

  • information and guidance
  • resources
  • news and events
  • opportunities to network and collaborate with other members and stakeholders
  • funding updates and help in finding those pots of money that other bands seem to keep getting, but yours doesn’t
  • “Find a Member Band” feature – A Google map that shows visitors where their nearest Band is, with links to their own website and social media
  • a Diary of Events page which at a glance tells you about ALL activities and notable dates that are happening in Wales on any given day. These would include:
    • Contest dates
    • Concerts given by Member Bands
    • Concerts given by visiting artists or bands
    • Closing dates for contest entry submissions
    • Workshops, seminars, masterclasses and activities given by partner organisations
    • Course dates for National and Regional Educational Ensembles

“The Hub” is a MEMBER–ONLY Area on our website will give you access to additional resources and unique discounts that we have brokered with our partner organisations. These include:

  • sheet music
  • training courses and seminars
  • memberships fees for other partner organisations
  • services and goods from retailers and suppliers to the brass band world

Every Member Band holds equal voting rights i.e. one band = one vote meaning your Band will have an equal say in the running of the organisation
